The M&S DOS project (Modeling & Simulation Development, Operation & Sustainment) includes tasks focused on the maintenance and improvement of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center’s Nuclear Hardness Database System. The existing system is made-up of several FORTRAN models managed by a VB.Net front-end, backed by a SQL Server database. The future state of the system will see the same FORTRAN models managed by a suite of C# services and front-end, using the same SQL Server.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is proficient in C# and has a DOD Secret security clearance. This individual will need to participate in design and implementation of a new WinForms application and multi-threaded Windows services that communicate via message queues. A part of a distributed team, the senior engineer will need to coordinate with the rest of the team to collaboratively problem solve, design and produce a quality product. This individual will need to have a working knowledge of the MSMQ implementation and SQL Server stored procedures
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
