GDIT is seeking a current and proficient Ship's Self Defense System (SSDS) Mk II trainer to train Fleet Officers and Sailors at Center for Surface Combat Systems NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Prospective employee must have Five (5) years of experience in Shipboard and/or Training Command experience with SSDS Mk II as a tactical trainer with watch stander qualifications as Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and Air Defense Weapons Coordinator (ADWC). Tactical employment experience of the SSDS Mk II weapons system with associated sensors, weapons, and networks is a must.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
Five (5) years of experience with the shipboard system or tactics taught by the supported school as an instructor with responsibility for teaching the system or tactics to others. Of the five years, four (4) years of experience as an instructor in a Naval Training Environment teaching material relevant to combat system maintenance, operation, employment or tactics, to include writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction, and counseling students on academic learning problems.
Candidate must possess Tactical employment experience of the SSDS Mk II weapons system with associated sensors, weapons, and networks and prior qualifications as Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and Air Defense Weapons Coordinator (ADWC).
Past experience as a trainer/instructor in support of CSCS/ATRC/TACTRAGRU is a significant plus. Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while training.
Desire Navy Instructor NEC 9502 and/or Master Training Specialist.
Desire experience with CEC and at least 1 year experience on CSTT Technical and or Tactical Team.
