  • Job Description

    Supervises the help desk and technical support operations for a major group, office, Division, or customer.

    1. Supervises assigned technical support staff of 17 personnel in support of networked and stand-alone computer users and systems.
    2. Supervises staff in recognizing, identifying, isolating, and resolving problems with information systems products and services.
    3. Supervises the installation, testing, and setup of new hardware and software.
    4. Assists subordinate technicians in resolving complex computer and/or network problems.
    5. Communicates with senior management on service availability and provides trend analysis of service desk operations.
    6. Manages and evaluates daily incident reports, and coordinates between customers and technicians
    7. Coordinates shifts and schedules for all subordinate technicians
    8. Evaluates and tracks performance/progress of all technicians
    9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
    10. Participates in special projects as required.


    Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


    1. 5-8 years of directly related experience supporting help desk operations.

    2. Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

    3. Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT II (Security+ CE or equivalent) access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire

    4. Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required

    5. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide

    6. The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
