  • Job Description

    1. Research customer data protection standards and recommend updates as needed.
    2. Provide Operations and Maintenance support for customer’s commercial encryption products and services.
    3. Support end users with installation and application issues for supported products to include occasional local travel.
    4. Document and perform system updates and configuration changes for customer’s commercial encryption systems.
    5. Conduct Technical Exchange Meetings with project teams and Information System Security Managers to recommend encryption applications to satisfy security policies and program requirements.
    6. Provide assessments of current or planned implementations of encryption products and services to determine proper application and configuration to provide the intended levels of protection.
    7. Perform market research and product evaluations to develop recommendations for commercial encryption products.
    8. Support the integration of commercial encryption products into the existing IT structure.
    9. Keep up with technological developments and support any new commercial encryption needs.
    10. Support the implementation of new technologies and enhancement of enterprise capabilities to support risk governance.
    11. Work with other customer organizations to understand workflow and data collection/reporting requirements in order to provide the government with risk governance capabilities.
    12. Provide continuity of operations (COOP) support for the customer’s enterprise data protection products.


    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.


    8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.



    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with commercial encryption or open source encryption products, including whole-disk, file and object-level encryption solutions.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience and/or certifications with AWS or other cloud infrastructure providers.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience building and configuring physical and/or virtual Linux or Windows server environments.
    • Experience assessing vendor solutions against encryption and security requirements.
    • Experience developing and maintaining system requirements documentation, user documentation, requirements verification and traceability matrices, test plans, and implementation and configuration guidelines.
    • Experience performing physical and virtual server maintenance including, but not limited to: completing repairs, maintaining updates, managing configurations, replacing hard drives, updating memory, and resetting hardware.
    • Perform rotating pager duty for 24/7 support.
    • Provide after hours and weekend support as needed.
    • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph at a minimum to be considered.



    • Vormetric or other commercial encryption product certification strongly desired
