Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology – Health and Civilian Solutions Division is currently looking for Product Management Support the area of Neuroscience/brain trauma to join our team to support the Department of Army. This position is based in Ft. Detrick – Frederick, Maryland.   


Primary Responsibilities:

The Product Manager support SME will focus on programs and products to support neuroscience and brain trauma with a focus on battlefield injuries and will be responsible in following areas:


  • Provide product management support to various traumatic brain injury efforts in support of the Project Manager, Deputy PM, and Product Managers.  Participate in IPTs to include scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, related documentation, and minutes.
  • Successfully communicate with personnel at various echelons through the use of effective interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Manage numerous efforts and effectively prioritize and multi-task requirements that have a direct impact on the Program.
  • Support the overall release process, working across departments to ensure market-ready products within time-to-market requirements.
  • Coordinate all major initiatives to advance product capabilities.
  • Assist in the writing and preparation of clinical protocols and other clinical trial documents.
  • Attend and participate in site visits, provide product support in IPT meetings and briefings, etc.
  • Orchestrate the requisite regulatory strategy as well as organization and compliance activities as contained in regulations and policies.
  • Provide scientific review of IND protocols, IND packages, and plans for management of IND products.
  • Be aware of, and be sensitive to, information flows that contain items of interest to or that are the action of the responsibility of the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager.   
  • Assist in PMO related fiscal management by performing budget analysis and management of contracts in regards to deliverables and periods of performance. 
  • Participate in weekly committee meetings and research study specific meetings. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and industry developments.
  • Participate in special projects as required.


Masters Degree in a scientific discipline.

PhD required, with specialty training in Neuroscience, Traumatic Brain Injury, or related field. 


  • 10-15 years of related experience in product management, preferably in the neuro trauma and psychological health pharmaceutical industry. 2 to 5 years of TBI scientific research related experience in area of training required
  • Public Trust required
