  • Job Description

    General Dynamics IT is currently looking for an experienced Dental Public Health Specialist to support the Naval Medical Research Unit at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. This position will support the Craniofacial Health and Restorative Medicine directorate in the development of treatment kits for dental emergencies among deployed US Military personnel.

     

    • Experience writing grant proposals and scientific papers.
    • Candidate should demonstrate experience designing and conducting complex research, studies, and analyses of epidemiologic and dental health service issues.
    • Makes recommendations on policies and programs of the dental health delivery system.      
    • Serve as a specialist in dental public health. Independently plan and complete work.

    Education

    • Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline, Masters Degree preferred.
    • DDS, DMD, or equivalent
    • Completion of an Accredited Dental Public Health residency or significant experience in dental public health research required

    Qualifications

    • 8-10 years of related experience in scientific research and analysis.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of post-doctorate research experience preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills
