Job Description

Contract: Army G2 ARIES

Position Title: Analyst, Logistics – IT Logistics Technician (L2)

Location: Ft Bragg, NC

 

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

 

GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army G2.  Under the Army Intelligence Information Technology Environment Support (ARIES) task order, the G2 supports numerous Army organizations providing mission critical intelligence tailored to the needs of Army senior leaders throughout the globe.  The ability of these organizations to provide this needed intelligence is dependent on the availability and successful operation of their Information Technology (IT).  The ARIES contract provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, engineering and cybersecurity services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the organization’s IT systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

IT Logistics Technician will:

  1. Oversee the transportation of classified and unclassified intelligence IT equipment throughout the world
  2. Work customs issues for worldwide transportation
  3. Work with customers and funding personnel to ensure appropriate funding is available to meet logistics requirements
  4. Supportalsoincludes,butisnotlimitedtoassistanceinlogisticsmanagement,equipmentandsparesdatabasemanagement, shipping and tracking, and managing operational spares
  5. Analyze standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements
  6. Develop logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies
  7. Follow established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control
  8. Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory and analyze requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times 

 

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  1. Experience with the Army’s Automated Systems Integration Database (ASID)
  2. Experience with Army Property Management Office and supply chain of custody
  3. Knowledge of Procurement Processes and use of the CHESS system
  4. Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Certification(s):              

Specific certifications may be required as determined by the Program Manager

 

Security Clearance:

TS/SCI required

 

 

Additional Qualifications:

  1. Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
  2. Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
  3. Applicants must be able to deploy to potential hazardous duty locations due to mission requirements. Candidates must be able to maintain compliance with the standards of fitness requirements at all times throughout the period of performance of the task order

Education

High School diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience, or Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience

Qualifications

2-5 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management
