Contract: Army G2 ARIES

Position: Sr Administrator, Systems – Systems Administrator (L3)

Location: Pentagon

General Summary:

GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army G2.  Under the Army Intelligence Information Technology Environment Support (ARIES) task order, the G2 supports numerous Army organizations providing mission critical intelligence tailored to the needs of Army senior leaders throughout the globe.  The ability of these organizations to provide this needed intelligence is dependent on the availability and successful operation of their Information Technology (IT).  The ARIES contract provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, engineering and cybersecurity services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the organization’s IT systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Systems Administrator will:

1. Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions
2. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
3. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
4. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
5. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
6. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status updates to agency management and internal customers
7. Provide support for the dispatch system and remain involved in the problem resolution process
8. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
9. Install/load operating system and application software
10. Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating system, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
11. Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
12. Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems

Desirable Skills / Experience:

1. Ability to provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
2. Be able to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets

 Certifications:

1. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
2. Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
3. Desired Computing Environment certification: MCSA Windows Server 2012, Solaris 10, Linux+, VCP5, etc. 

Security Clearance:

TS/SCI required

Additional Qualifications:

1. Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years of experience

5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis
