Job Description

This position provides an excellent opportunity to work with experienced instructional designers and developers creating cutting edge and engaging educational videos and interactive media that support the instructional needs of NPS faculty and organizations. Projects will include various aspects of preproduction, production, and post production.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist or offer input on Pre-production scripts and storyboards
  • Set up cameras and lighting in studio and out in field
  • Set up and videotape for green screen production
  • Set up audio and recording
  • Apply appropriate video and audio recording techniques for various venues such as interviews, meetings, vignettes, scenarios and instructor course presentations.
  • Edit video and audio
  • Recommend equipment and software to purchase
  • Scheduling studio time and coordinating video shoots
  • Video encoding with various distribution formats, online and DVD
  • Video archiving and conducting backups of time-based media projects
  • Participates in special projects as required

Technical skills

  • Adobe Premiere  CC

  • Best practices for lighting
  • Motion graphics design 
  • DVD production
  • Sound engineering/mixing
  • Audio post-production

Experience in shooting video in an educational and/or military environment is a plus.

Education

Associates Degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.

 

 

 

Qualifications

3-5 years of related experience in video filming, editing and production.
