Job Description

Web Application and Product Trainer to support a US Government customer in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The selected candidate will work with a primary POC who will train them on the custom built application and then the candidate will become the end user subject matter expert for this application, providing training, troubleshooting, and knowledge management for up to Flag level staff. The candidate will provide training, collecting end user requirements, creating and updating application documentation, and coordinating with application developers in creating application updates and additions based upon data gathered observing and interacting with end users. Candidates must be proficient with browser usage (Internet Explorer and Edge) user configuration and preferences, an understanding of three-tier web application architecture, and an understanding of web application usage in browsers.


Specific job duties include:


  • Quickly learn and understand the special use application and then provide support to end users with the applications functionality and capability.
  • Understand and assist users with the applications products.
  • Perform applications testing on different networks and create test & evaluation reports. (i.e. understand end user use cases and replicate those in the test environment)
  • Efficiently perform trouble-shooting on the special use application and write clear and concise trouble-shooting reports.
  • Perform user requirements gathering.
  • Work with web applications team to present and explain user requirements.
  • Provide assistance with daily user support to the entire staff including senior leaders.
  • Working in a team environment embedded in a high-visibility Air Force installation.
  • Create and present the special use application training.
  • Support shift-work for exercises, operations, and contingencies.
  • Proficient communication and people skills.
  • Proficient writing skills.



Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


2-5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.


Clearance Level

  • Secret

Certifications (IAT Level I)

One of the following:

  • Security+ CE
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
  • System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

And one of the following:

  • MCSA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
  • Windows 10 - Configuring Windows 10 (70-697 or equivalent)
  • Windows 7 - Configuring Windows 7 (70-680 or equivalent)

Required Skills

  • 3+ Years of Experience with Windows Systems
  • Understanding of three-tier web application architecture and an understanding of web application usage in browsers.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral)

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
  • Knowledge Management
