Key Responsibilities

Siebel Developers conduct or participate in the research, design and development of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms. Responsibilities also include enhancements, modifications and corrections to existing software. In addition, these employees are responsible for coding, testing, integrating and documenting software solutions.


Required Key Skills:

  • Development experience with Siebel Base (C++), Siebel Public Sector version 8.2.2.x, SQL
  • Development experience with several of the following
    • Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate
    • Visual Studio 6.0
    • Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010
    • Oracle SQL Developer
    • Oracle SQL*Plus
    • Oracle 11g Client
  • Understanding and experience with Agile Development
  • A proven record of software delivery and deployment


Candidates must show a passion for innovation, sophisticated understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to effectively manage, grow and evolve General Dynamics Information Technology's software solutions.


The Siebel Developer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field and eight to ten years of related experience; or Master's degree and five to eight years of related experience.


No security clearance is required at time of hire. However, applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government Public Trust background investigation. Candidates must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. Applicants must be granted Government Suitability in order to meet eligibility requirements to work on the program and to receive access to U.S. Government information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.


2. Masters Degree preferred.


Qualifications Preferred:

  • In-depth understanding  of object-oriented methodology, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
  • RDBMS/SQL - Ability to construct efficient queries
  • Unix/Linux experience
  • Java - JEE server side Java, JDBC, JMS
  • Development experience in one or more of the following:
    • XML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML
  • Familiarity with DEVOPS tools and platforms such as JIRA, Jenkins, GitHub, Amazon Web Services

10-15 years of related software development experience.
