Job Description

The Testing Specialist will participate in the technical testing of SCORM compliant web-based language eLearning objects. Learning objects will incorporate text, video, and/or audio along with comprehension and assessment activities. The activities comprise authentic text, listening and video material and aim to build the foreign language skills of a large federal government workforce in reading and comprehension, translation, and transcription. The testing specialist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of content curators, developers, instructional designers, graphic designers and multimedia experts to produce activities drawing from political, cultural, historical and current events topics.


Responsibilities include:


  • Runing Quality Assurance checks by testing the learning objects from a technical perspective and ensuring adherence to requirement
  • Participating in the design and development of tests, quality checklists, and test requirements for eLearning products and related components
  • Troubleshooting problems and documents findings of tests
  • Define testing processes and ensures tests adhere to established standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participate in special projects as required



Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or similar degree


  • 0-2 years of experience in web development testing, preferably eLearning product development
  • Knowledge of SCORM and course development software such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, LectoraFamiliarity with responsive web development and user experience design
  • Understanding of eLearning and web application development process
  • Working familiarity with relevant learning coding environments, languages, tools, and platforms, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks
  • SCORM compliant applications testing/Integration experience is a plus
  • Experience with version control systems (git and github) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  US citizenship is required.
