Job Description

The Health & Civilian Solutions Division of GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Financial Analyst who can interface with many Program Managers and Senior Leadership in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment in support of the GDIT Cloud. 

This position may require the ability to work out of Fairfax office as much as one day per week or as needed (minimum of 2 days per month).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs financial analysis and monthly reporting to Senior Leadership, closely monitoring finances associated with business operations.
  • Responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and allocating.
  • Collects and reviews technical data from various sources, calculating GDIT Cloud recovery and its financial impacts to the Cloud tenants and the Cloud solution.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.
  • Analyzes projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.
  • Maintains appropriate records and documentation.
  • Supports assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.
  • Makes recommendations to management to improve the financial performance of the organization.
  • Develops budgets for assigned contracts and tracks performance to budgets.
  • Participates in the preparation of cost proposals.
  • Conducts audits and analysis of their organization's direct and indirect costs, and reviews their practices and procedures, ensuring that labor and non-labor charges are approved, allowable, and processed in a timely manner.
  • May have risk identification and recovery responsibilities.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as DAR, FAR, SOX and other government regulations.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced analysts.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.


Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.



  • 5-8 years of related finance or business analysis experience
  • Strong Excel experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Ad Hoc reporting strongly preferred
  • Experience with variance analysis reporting strongly preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Financials is a plus
  • Must be willing to present Financial Briefings to Client and Upper Management
